Sink More Putts Now

By: Lisa Brown

Dear Golfer,

Last day I said that most golfers are fanatical about mechanics.

They're constantly trying to adjust the mechanics of their swing to make the ball go where they want it to go.

You can get equally obsessed with the mechanics of your putting. However, you must resist this temptation.

While you want to improve your fundamentals, you cannot think about the mechanics of a shot during it.

Even pros know this. Instead, they choose a focus that corrects the problem, but doesn't tempt them to over-think their mechanics.

Nick Price is one of the PGA's best ballstrikers.

But if there was one flaw in his game, it was his putting.

To win as many titles and majors as Price has, you can't be a bad putter. But when Price first started on the tour, his putting was as "streaky" at best... not consistent.

Price's quick tempo on the course served him well with the long ball, but his aggressive stroke got him in trouble numerous times, especially when it came to the pace of his putts.

He focused on improving the "flow" of his putting stroke-- slowing it down, smoothing it out, and keeping it low to the ground.

The practice has paid off. Price has won 18 PGA Tour victories, including 3 majors and 24 international wins.

Now when Price faces a difficult putt, he no longer tries to control the mechanics of his putting stroke.

Instead, he simply tells himself: Longer. Slower. Lower.*

You can do the same for any shot of yours. Simply discover the technical problem, and create a focus for yourself that fixes it-- without telling your hands, arms, elbows, or wrists what to do.

And, if you want to get a list of sample focuses you can try, and you haven't taken the time to go and download my online eBook, "Breakthrough Golf! Lower Your Score Now Using the Mental Secrets of Professional Athletes", then I suggest you go and do that immediately.

You can download it right now, and be reading it in literally MINUTES. It will teach you the exact mindset you need to play your best golf now. In fact, the entire first section of the book teaches you how to select the right mental focus for each shot.

You will learn how to work with yourself, not against yourself, on the golf course.
